Holiday season is here!
It's mid November, and we can all feel the holidays approaching.
Cities are starting to hang ornaments, stores are announcing irresistible sales and discounts. We are all planning vacations and festivities with friends and family, and those always come with gifts, don't they?
Personally, I am not the kind of person to lure you into buying shit you don't need. I don't adhere to over consumerism, moreover, I actually gravitate towards minimalism. However, that's why I also believe in purchasing only items that bring me real joy and meaning, preferably items that have an added value.
Therefore, I would like to gently pull at your attention and suggest this:
If you are on the lookout for meaningful holiday presents for your loved ones, please consider purchasing them at MitraByMira.
The store carries a huge variety of high quality apparel items, with messages of solidarity and peace. But there is also an added value: Part of the profits go to an educational program called Shared Learning. Like its' name, this program by the Abraham Initiatives brings together Jewish and Arab middle school students for a shared learning experience. They sit in the same class and learn the English language together.
In an almost segregated school system, this allows youth to meet and create bonds, build bridges and maybe even overcome misconceptions and stereotypes.
Those of you who know me, know how strongly I believe in education as a vaccine against hatred, and so, I am proud that the store supports this amazing program. (I talk more about Shared Learning in another BLOG POST...)
If you don't know what exactly to purchase for each one of your family members, no problem, that's why we created our gift cards!
With the virtual gift card your loved ones can choose for themselves from the abundant variety of products in the store.
You would be glorified for hitting two birds with one stone: Refreshing their wardrobe with cool apparel while giving them a chance to be a part of the change.
Leaning back on another cliche: This is a gift that keeps giving.
A cliche indeed, but in this case, it's definitely a truthful one.
No matter which holiday it is you're celebrating, I wish you all a very happy holiday season, and I wish so many good things for our world: Empathy, tolerance and solidarity being just part of them.
Peace&Love y'all❤️
